Startupbootcamp in Latin America never stops and looks ahead to 2 big milestones to conquer during the following weeks.
Startupbootcamp Fintech, acceleration program focused on early-stage Fintech startups, will announce its next batch during Selection Days on September 18th and 19th at Finnovista LOFT.
On the other hand, its scale Fintech program, Startupbootcamp Scale Fintech, is recruiting the best growth-stage talent and will visit several cities in America to gather its third batch.
The main objective of Startupbootcamp Fintech’s Selection Days is to get in-depth knowledge of the best 20 Fintech projects that applied to the program in order to choose their next cohort.
The road travelled has been tough, but also fun. Thanks to this experience, Startupbootcamp Fintech and Finnovista had the opportunity, once again, to evaluate the Fintech status in several latitudes, meet with the best early-stage talent and connect with dozens of industry mentors and experts, part of Finnovista’s network.
During the 4-month recruitment process, the local team visited 10 innovation hubs in Latin America, as well as Madrid and Miami, and contacted a large number of Fintechs in the region that were invited to find out more about the program.
By the end, the team analyzed 296 startups from more than 15 different countries. Among the most representative are: Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador and Spain.
As part of the analysis the team considered factors such as market opportunity, product and business models, and above all, the fit and collaboration opportunities with the corporate partners of the program: Visa, Scotiabank, HSBC Mexico, Banregio, IGNIA, Latinia, Fiinlab powered by Gentera, EY Mexico and White & Case.
After the announcement, the 10 selected teams will have a month to prepare for the program, which will include workshops, speed dating with banks, investors and financial institutions, 1: 1 sessions with mentors from different areas such as investment, marketing, PR, legalization, human resources and team building and product development.
The addition of Rafael Hernández to the team is also great news. Rafael is joining the program as a Director. He is a key player of the Fintech ecosystem in the region with extensive experience working with startups, entrepreneurs, as well as corporate companies.
Startupbootcamp Scale FinTech in Mexico City is the only scale program in Latin America and is designed for growth-stage Fintech companies.
After the great results of two previous batches, the team invites all Fintech startups in this phase to apply for the 3rd batch by October 13th.
The program offers six-month support to five companies to boost and develop their businesses, and above all, to be the best ally in their soft-landing in Latin America.
The initiative is designed to help selected startups face some major growth barriers, such as fundraising, recurring sales, difficulties in scaling up their operations, innovating in their processes, or expanding into other markets.
Furthermore, the local team will travel to several cities searching for the best talent. If you have a consolidated startup, and you are looking for specialized support in Fintech, don’t hesitate to meet with the team in one of the following cities, or contact [email protected].
